Unique digital art from an original photograph

Photographs of the natural world and things that may be considered man made. Once captured, the photograph is carefully worked to create a unique work of art that is expressive and unique. The reflection of a moment, an emotion or a mood - teased out of our world.

The art is about creative and expressive imaging - colours and forms being the most important element. The original photo may have minimal content, some maybe specifically taken with a creation in mind, others are used simply because of the potential they hold, due to the general composition. Some start out as one thing and become something totally different once the editing is applied.

Each completed image is arrived at in various ways, and can reflect either the mood of the photographer, or the mood that the photographer is seeking to portray.

Digital images

Availability

As these are digital images, availability is fast. If a print or canvas, then 7 days delivery is normal, and the artwork is despatched in cardboard tubing, toprotect the image from damaged during transit. If urgent and the final mounting not known, the image can be sent as a hi-res image via email, therefore available immediately.

Commissioned artwork would require negotiation, as the original content may take time to acquire, be it a location shot, or availability of subject.

Inspiration

Inspiration for the digital images starts with the photographer's eye for a subject. Sometimes, the images are worked to accentuate the original content, other times the photographs are used as building blocks for the finished image that slowly grows to create a certain style, or express a certain emotion. As each image is unique, each one is a work on its own, although sometimes a number of images are created from one shot to explore different possibilities.

The images start as a digital photograph, taken on a Canon SLR and end as a digital image that is ideally suited for print and canvas, but equally can be used on fabrics, blinds etc. The images created are varied in complexity and mood, and when hung on a customers wall can enhance the feel of the room and reflect the colours and style.

Commissions

The photographer will undertake commissions, and can reflect the content and/or colours to suit the location. For example, the image could be made up of favourite types of flower or place visited, then worked to blended the colour to fit in with the decor. If a hotel or office, the work can reflect the business and include images specific to the industry or building. The options are endless. Even effects can be personalised. All that is required is a description or details of the objects to be included. Location shoots to source specific images would be subject to quotation.

Images, other than commissions, are available for exclusive use as a one-off images (subject to price).

A WORD FROM THE ARTIST

I have always had an interest in art, and have used mediums from pencil, charcoal, watercolour to oil and now photography. My subjects were primarily wildlife, having a great fondness for nature and the countryside. As time moved on and other areas of life demanded my time, painting and drawing took a back seat. Then one day I bought a computer that came with a digital camera and software editing programme...and away I went. My interest in photography and in art was combined and now all my creative energy is released into the digital art I produce.

I love the uniqueness of the images and the freedom of expression and creation the software programme provides, and the fact they are born from the photos I have taken.

I have had work displayed with the Saatchi On line Gallery, Getty Images, Ecoscene, Rebecca Dawe Gallery, Artylicious, and had work accepted for the Agora Gallery in New York.
